Graphic Design

The following are samples taken from Writer’s Bibles that I designed for Big Hero 6: The Series, DuckTales (2017) and Future Worm!

Working with the show creators, art directors and producers to come up with a concept behind the writer’s bible, I was given a text document and access to all available artistic assets. I then went to work creating layouts, finding fonts and utilizing show graphics to encapsulate the mood and style and concept of each show.

In the case of Big Hero 6, the idea we landed on was to create Hiro’s yearbook as he navigated his way through the SanFransokyo Institute of Technology.

The art direction for DuckTales 2017 was based on Carl Barks’ original comics, so the layout, comic book nature down to the butcher paper, comic panels and halftone texture.

The Future Worm! writer’s bible is based on 13 year-old inventor Danny’s Douglas’ journal chocked full of doodles, post-its, bandaids and spills.

In addition to layout, I have also had the privilege of painting The Art of Ducktales cover, the Darkwing Duck Poster found in the back of the DuckTales: Solving Mysteries and Rewriting History book, as well as posters throughout the 2017 DuckTales TV show.
